For its thirteenth consecutive year, Rocking The Daisies music and lifestyle festival returned to Cloof Wine Estate in South Africa for another remarkable event.

Over 25,000 attended this edition of the festival, reaching a new milestone for the festival. Following its new additions from 2016, the 2017 edition included a great variety of music and differently themed stages such as the Trap House, Electric Dome, Beach Bar and other smaller ones.

Glownet worked with our South African partner Howler to provide cashless systems, access control tools, and business intelligence reports to optimize the performance of the festival. The festival wristbands allowed guests to not only load credit on their RFID chips to spend but also to enter and exit the festival in a quick manner.

The festival was delivered flawlessly. In the words of Africa’s best read the Mail & Guardian:

“This [festival wristbands] eradicated almost all queuing — especially at the various bars, where long lines used to be the main source of the limited frustration patrons experienced at the festival”.

With next the next edition coming in 2018, here at Glownet we are excited to participate again in this wonderful experience.
